I hate doing fearless forecasts as I usually don't get the jackpot each time I do one, but I just can't help it. My gut feeling says Alex Preston and Malaya Watson will go mic-to-mic during the American Idol finals. Or, at least, they should. Caleb is great, too--there's no question about that--but I think he's not your typical AI superstar. He has great vocals, but the previous two are the real deal. Alex and Malaya both have a cry in their voice that just cannot be ignored. And, I guess, people really love the underdogs; those who work so hard to get to the top unlike those who are already established and like mind-blowing at the start of the show. I'm sorry, Caleb, but I really am for Malaya and Alex. But, still, anything could happen. I am just a human being who likes to act like an expert sometimes. I'm a fan of talent show judges!
Alex has this folk-ish kind of tone that is absolutely soothing to the ears. Is he to become yet another "White Guy With A Guitar" sort of victory? On one hand, Malaya is a true diva despite his boyish demeanor. Man, could she belt out those huge notes! But, are those enough to promise her the AI throne? Let's just watch out.
