The Voice of Italy has recently been shaken by this one rare, phenomenal, breathtaking happening that has never... yeah, never ever occurred in any part of the world before. A nun auditioned for the said reality talent competition. Folks, a nun!!!
Please pardon my expression up there. I just couldn't believe my eyes and my ears for mere seconds. Sister Cristina Scuccia, 25 years old, stunned the audience and the judges of The Voice of Italy as she gave her own flavor to Alicia Keys's No One, and got them so shocked as she's in her full Sister-Act-like glory. And, man, did she kill it! She belted out those notes perfectly, and there even exist growls you would never expect to come out from a lady like her. Another great thing is that she was able to turn all four chairs to her favor. Whoa!
When asked why she came over and got into the blind auditions, her answer would definitely melt your heart: "I came here because I have a gift and I want to share that gift. I am here to evangelize." Clap, clap, clap.
Sister Cristina only shows that talent knows no occupation. She would probably encourage more nuns to chase after their dreams, and that's a really good thing. Ma'am, you're an inspiration, and I hope you'd win the competition, and that would be another first, too. Just keep hitting all the firsts!
